Dear Editor
Following my strong representations to the Transport Department, the public consultation period on the proposed plans for the Keperra to Ferny Grove Rail Upgrade project has been extended.
An Information Session will be held at the Ferny Grove Bowls Club on Saturday 24 April between 10am and 2pm.
I want the Transport Department to hear all the views of residents, and I encourage them to come along.
Costing $100 million, the project involves duplicating 3.2km of track between Keperra and Ferny Grove stations to increase rail capacity, an upgrade of the Ferny Grove station, increased car parking and an improved bus interchange.
